Line Project
Using Adobe Photoshop, I was given the task to create a composition using a single line based off of a different type of line (i.e. implied, expressive, continuous, line variation, contour, etc.) , then place these lines together and set them to a color scheme. I made two compositions for each word then chose our favorite place all of them together. This project being the first project of the year was to help the class understand the basic photoshop tools and then learn to apply them to something.
Black Square Project
Using Adobe Photoshop, I was given six words, and asked to make a design out of black squares that represented each of the words. Then, in Adobe Illustrator, I was asked to use three letters of three different typefaces, and create a  composition representing each of the words, then placing the word itself into the composition. I made two compositions for each word then chose one of each and put them together with the black squares as a spread and made books out of them.
Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, in this class I create compositions from variations of lines to movie posters, learning how to use the different tools of the programs in every way possible.
